Addiction and Prevention

Breaking the Cycle of Addiction

Addiction to drugs or alcohol can destroy lives and tear families apart. Addicts and substance abusers often have a hard time shaking their dependence or habit on their own. Their families generally feel powerless to help.

There is no single indicator of drug abuse. But if someone is starting to experience one or more of the following symptoms on a regular basis, there is probably cause for concern:

  • Lethargic or restless behavior
  • Loss of interest in activities
  • Excessive sleep or insomnia
  • "Spacey" look
  • Irritability
  • Impulsive behavior
  • Relationship and job problems

Addiction & Prevention Services offers a variety of programs to help break the cycle of addiction and to assist families in learning to deal with their own frustration, anger and other feelings. Our goal is to provide the tools people need to put their lives back together again by offering the following services:

  • Treatment program in our 30-bed residential facility in a highly structured, drug-free environment. Clients are admitted on a voluntary basis.
  • An intensive outpatient program that meets four hours per day, four times a week.
  • Outpatient and continuing recovery support.
  • Case management service to follow up with clients and assist them in the community.
  • Individualized outpatient treatment and aftercare.
  • Addiction & prevention programs for adults and adolescents.
  • School-based and faith-based prevention programs.
